“Tie It Down” Program for Associations
Cargo SafetyWeb has developed cargo safety awareness and compliance program targeting landscape & contractor trade association members. The program will partner with cargo safety supporters to provide education, awareness and solutions for fleet open-bed vehicles and trailers.
The pilot program is looking for partners in the state of Washington where laws are in place and the government is looking for help to bring awareness and driver compliance. The goal is to bring awareness and solutions for safely securing loads. Ultimately, our program is intended to save lives, improve the environment and reduce businesses lost time and cost from unsecured loads.

Education and Awareness:
Cargo safety is every hauler’s responsibility. Safety comes first when transporting anything in an open-bed vehicle or trailer and loads should be firmly secured at all times. The drivers and/or their employers bear responsibility for items falling onto the roadway or highway system. The Cargo SafetyWeb makes it easy to meet state and county regulations. Just cover, hook and go!

Compliance and Solutions:
State Law and Fines:
An unsecured load is a crime. All drivers of open-bed vehicles and trailers are subject to fines starting at $194.00 and possible lawsuit. If anyone get injured drivers and/or employers can be charged with gross misdemeanor and penalties up to $5,000 and may include jail time. (see cargo safety materials)

Requiring open-bed truck & trailer rental customer's to sign a waver stating they bare full responsibility if their load comes loose and violates any laws of the county or state and/or any collateral damage as a result there of. The option is to either rent or buy the Cargo SafetyWeb to easily and safely secure their load. A deposit will be required on the rental and additional accessory straps. If the Cargo SafetyWeb or its accessories are lost or damaged the customer will have purchased that item and is required to pay in full at the return of the truck or trailer rental

Community Support:
SafetyWeb Products will donate a percentage of sales to fund cargo safety research & education and percentage to victims such as Maria Federici. We are looking for partners to match funds and help get the word out.
